Welcome to CAREhER’s 5th International Women’s Day Summit, where we unite influential leaders from diverse industries for a day of insightful discussions and meaningful networking. Our lineup this year includes 14 remarkable speakers from various sectors in the APAC region, converging to explore Talent, Technology, and Thrive through impact investing. Our three insightful sessions aim to power change in women’s leadership. With the active engagement of our vibrant community of 100 women leaders, both in-person and online, we’re poised to ignite discussions that drive positive change. Let’s celebrate a future where investing in women is at the forefront of progress!

Welcome Remarks

Co-Founder and CEO, CAREhER

Tiffany Chou

Graduated from National Taiwan University & holds a J.D. from McGeorge School of Law, Tiffany has over 10 years of experience in community building, content curation, branding & learning product development and over 5 years of DEI consulting at Fortune 500 companies in Japan & Singapore. In the past 5 years, Tiffany spearheaded the APAC expansion of CAREhER & The Dream Collective.

Opening Remarks

CEO, Standard Chartered Bank Taiwan
Ian Anderson

Ian Anderson was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Standard Chartered Bank (Taiwan) Limited in January 2021. In his current role, Ian is responsible for the Bank’s business in Taiwan.
Prior to assuming his role in Taiwan, Ian was Global Head of Enterprise Risk Management and Retail Risk of the Bank.

He was also responsible for overall risk management of the bank with various roles including Global Head of Regions and Retail Risk and Regional CRO ASA and Global Head of Group Special Asset Management with the Group. Ian worked for PwC as Partner in London overwatching debt advisory and restructuring before joining the Bank. As a senior executive in the industry, Ian also hold different roles on restructuring and credit analysis with leading financial institutions in Asia.

Betsy Shieh 

Commercial Section Chief, American Institute in Taiwan

 

Betsy Shieh is the AIT Commercial Section Chief, after having served as Deputy Chief for one year. She previously served as Principal Commercial Officer in Guangzhou, China and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Prior to joining the Commercial Service Betsy’s career included serving as Executive Director in two international trade associations in New York City and as Product Manager in the export trading company of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
She is married to a consultant and professor of Chinese politics and has two grown children.

Poling Liu 

Head of Human Resources, Taiwan & Southeast Asia, ASML

 

Poling is the Head of Human Resource of ASML Taiwan and Southeast Asia, and has over 20 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. She has previously held positions as Deputy Vice President at Hon Hai Technology Group and Senior HR Manager at TSMC. She is currently responsible for talent and organizational development in the ASML Taiwan and Southeast Asia.

In addition to her experience in the technology and semiconductor sectors, she also possesses over 15 years of cross-industry experience in areas such as public relations, marketing, business, and real estate, contributing to the integration of diverse perspectives and the creation of flexible and adaptable management strategies.

Debra Bell

Vice President of DRAM Product Engineering Group, Micron Technology

Debra joined Micron Technology in 2000 as a Product Engineer working on first-generation DDR1. She has since worked on various DDR SDRAM and NAND products as a Product Engineer and a Designer.

Debra has been an active member in many engineering and manufacturing technical communities such as Micron’s prestigious Technical Leadership Program and has held a variety of managerial leadership roles including a two-year assignment in Japan and is on assignment now in Taiwan.

Jennifer Kang

Head, Corporate Affairs, Brand & Marketing, Standard Chartered Bank Taiwan

Jennifer Kang is currently Head of Corporate Affairs, Brand and Marketing, Standard Chartered Bank Taiwan.

Prior to moving to Taiwan in September 2021, Jennifer was Head, Corporate Affairs, Brand and Marketing, Malaysia. Jennifer’s journey with Standard Chartered Bank started in 2007, and she has worked in various roles in Brunei, Australia and the Africa Middle East region. Jennifer has more than 20 years of experience, mainly in Public Relations and Marketing Communications.

Ann H. Ku 

Environment, Science, Technology, and Health Officer (ESTH), American Institute in Taiwan

Ann Ku joined AIT in August 2022 and is the Environment, Science, Technology, and Health (ESTH) Officer in the Economic Section. Prior to this position, she served as a Political Officer with the Human Rights portfolio in Panama City, Panama and as a Consular Officer at Embassy Beijing.

A native of Seattle, Washington, Ann was born to parents who immigrated from Taiwan. Ann holds both an undergraduate degree and a master’s degree in public health from the University of Washington, where she majored in Global Health.

JT Hsu

Managing Director & Senior Partner, Boston Consulting Group

JT Hsu is the Managing Director & Senior Partner at Boston Consulting Group. He leads BCG’s global work in semiconductors and materials, and also leads BCG’s Technology, Media & Telecommunications practice in Greater China and the Taipei office.

JT has extensive experience consulting along the value chain in consumer electronics, working with clients in the semiconductor, components, devices, content, and services sectors.

JT works primarily with TMT clients in China, Taiwan, Japan, and Korea. He is an Adjunct Specialist Professor at National Taiwan University, and author of The BCG Way of Problem Solving.

Sandy Chen

Chief Technology and Operations Officer, Standard Chartered Bank

Sandy has been with the Bank since 2019 and is a highly experienced and influential operation leader. She plays an instrumental role in driving various transformation and digital agenda across business and segments, leading pan-bank ICS, Data Protection & Retention and resilience plans, and demonstrates great leadership and ownership in her current roles. Further to her strong background in operations, she is also experienced in leading change management for various technology and integration projects, while uplifting stability and driving the innovation agenda.

Co-founder, ALPHA Camp

Youchi Kuo, co-founder of ALPHA Camp and former principal at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), stands at the forefront of educational evolution and tech talent empowerment.

ALPHA Camp has emerged as a vital force in tech talent development, boasting a network of alumni at top-tier tech companies and startups across Asia. With a foresight into the expansive applications of AI, ALPHA Camp has been an early advocate for comprehensive AI education, facilitating a broad spectrum of workshops on AI learning and deployment.

Patrick Kong

Chief Financial Officer, Asia GE Vernova – Gas Power

Patrick is the Asia CFO for GE Vernova’s Gas Power business. GE Vernova, a planned purpose-built energy company that is leading the energy transition by continuing to electrify the world while simultaneously working to decarbonize it, is present across 22 countries in Asia, one of the fastest growing regions in terms of energy demand.

Patrick joined GE 25 years ago, where he held different finance leadership roles across various GE businesses including GE Aerospace, GE Corporate and GE Power. Patrick was appointed as the Asia Pacific CFO for GE Power, a role which he served from 2011 to 2014. He then joined to lead the Business Intelligence unit for Asia and he assumed his current CFO Gas Power responsibility.

Daisy Tang

General Manager, Hilti Taiwan

Daisy Tang currently holds the position of General Manager at Hilti Taiwan, a multinational company headquartered in Liechtenstein. Hilti specializes in the development, manufacturing, and marketing of products and services for the construction industry. With over 10 years of management experience at Hilti Taiwan and Hong Kong, Daisy has demonstrated expertise in various areas including sales, marketing, customer services, and store operations.

Furthermore, Daisy possesses valuable sales and marketing experience in renowned consumer electronics and home appliance brands such as Panasonic, Bosch, and Siemens, which further enriches her professional background.

Ann-Marie Padgett

President of East Asia and Pacific Region, Bechtel Group

Ann-Marie Padgett supports customers in the
markets and communities she serves, as well as develops strategies for growth.

Ann-Marie brings extensive business development and government affairs experience to Bechtel. Recently, she served as director of market access for Caterpillar’s Remanufacturing Division. Over the course of her 13-year career at Caterpillar, Ann-Marie led strategic engagement planning and implementation for international advocacy across the company’s many divisions.

Gwenyth Wang Reeves 

Engagement Director, GE Vernova Taiwan

 

As the Engagement Director for GE Taiwan, Gwenyth is responsible for establishing, and driving GE’s advocacy initiatives in Taiwan, engaging with local and central governments and other stakeholders on important public policy challenges, as well as advising the GE businesses on a broad range of regulatory issues.

Gwenyth is a skilled communicator and negotiator, with nearly two decades of experience in government relations, digital diplomacy, and political communication under her belt.

直播學習票會怎麼進行呢?

我們將分為上午場與下午場,於上下午活動表定時間開始一小時前,發送私密連結給購票者。講座過程中,遠端參與者可以與透過文字發問,與現場講者與會員互動。

這次活動有什麼注意事項呢?

1. 活動前若台灣發生大型嚴重新冠肺炎群聚感染,或政府公告規範管制,主辦單位 (CAREhER) 將取消相關活動,敬請見諒。
2. 活動相關異動訊息公布或票務相關事宜,可隨時於 CAREhER Instagram 獲得第一手資訊,恕不另行通知。
3. 活動前如遇不可抗力之天災,主辦單位以民眾安全為考量,活動將延期或取消,參加民眾不得異議。
4. 報名活動時,也代表你同意主辦單位可以使用於活動拍攝之影音,於 CAREhER 及宣傳夥伴之展覽、宣傳、相關印刷品製作、數位化方式重製、及相關網站使用。

活動付款成功後,如果因為個人因素無法參與,可以向 CAREhER 申請退票。

退票:請至少於活動日前 7天,私訊 CAREhER 粉絲專頁(例:3/3 的活動,請最晚請於 2/25 23:59 前私訊粉專告知。)將會有手續費(2.5%+10元),從票券費用中扣除。
