Tiffany Chou

Graduated from National Taiwan University & holds a JD from McGeorge School of Law, Tiffany has over 10 years of experience in community building, content curation, branding & learning product development and over 5 years of DEI consulting at Fortune 500 companies in Japan & Singapore. In the past 5 years, Tiffany spearheaded the APAC expansion of CAREhER & The Dream Collective.

Awu Chen

Founder of SOOOUL

Awu Chen is a digital craftsman specializing in creating mementos. He is the founder of SOOOUL, an AI startup built on the wisdom of Kyoto craftsmen.

Recently, SOOOUL launched HAKO, a platform that brings AI agents to artisans, enabling traditional craft to be preserved on-chain and ensuring sustainable value to be distributed back to the craftsmen.

Debra Bell

Vice President of DRAM Product Engineering Group, Micron Technology

Debra joined Micron Technology in 2000 as a Product Engineer working on first-generation DDR1. She has since worked on various DDR SDRAM and NAND products as a Product Engineer and a Designer.

Debra has been an active member in many engineering and manufacturing technical communities such as Micron’s prestigious Technical Leadership Program and has held a variety of managerial leadership roles including a two-year assignment in Japan and is on assignment now in Taiwan.

Ying-Ja Chen 

Solutions Architect, Healthcare & Life Sciences, NVIDIA

 

 

Ying-Ja Chen is a Solutions Architect in Healthcare & Life Sciences at NVIDIA, where she leverages her expertise to drive advancements in AI-driven biomedical research. With a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University, a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from UC San Diego, and postdoctoral training at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Ying-Ja has a robust academic background that underpins her pioneering work.

With over 10 years of R&D experience in the biotech industry, Ying-Ja has made significant contributions in the fields of genomics, drug discovery, and the application of AI technology in biotech. Her passion for developing cutting-edge technology has been honed through her work in various biotech startups and her role as a patent agent.

Ying-Ja is actively involved in the Boston Taiwanese Biotechnology Association (BTBA) and the Taiwan Innovative Drugs (TID) Alliance, where she fosters biotech community growth. She hopes that her ability to communicate with both technical and general audiences will enable her to facilitate the integration of Taiwanese teams into the global biotech value chain.

Yusan Lin

Founder of Mirror Mirror

Yusan Lin is a startup founder and AI scientist with a focus on leveraging AI and machine learning to address challenges in the fashion industry, a passion she has pursued since 2012. She has published several research papers on AI and fashion in prestigious computer science conferences, including The Web Conference (TheWebConf), CIKM, SIGIR, and RecSys.

Previously, Yusan held roles as an Applied Scientist at Amazon Fashion and an AI Research Scientist at Visa Research. She earned her Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Pennsylvania State University in 2018 and her B.S. in Computer Science and Information Engineering from National Central University in 2012.

Cathy Yin, Databricks, CAREhER International Women's Day

Cathy Yin

Engineering Manager, Databricks

Cathy is the first APAC-based Engineering Manager at Databricks, leading several teams focused on building open-source AI platforms that empower AI/ML practitioners to develop better AI applications faster. Her teams’ work contributes to Databricks’ mission of simplifying and democratizing data and AI.

Before Databricks, Cathy was a Senior Engineering Manager at Grab, where she oversaw the entire ecosystem for merchants to create marketing campaigns—including ads, promotions, and offers—helping one of Southeast Asia’s largest super apps scale its business.

Prior to that, she was a Staff Engineer and Engineering Manager at Facebook, driving the development of advertising and business products across regions to help businesses grow and reach global audiences.

AI & Earth | Engineering a Greener, Healthier Future

Panelists

Catherine Hunt Ryan

President, Manufacturing & Technology, Bechtel Group

Catherine joined Bechtel in 2007, initially working in Bechtel Enterprises, the company’s project development, investment, and financing services group.
Catherine transitioned to Bechtel Energy in 2013 and was the project controls and commercial lead of the Sabine Pass Liquefaction project. She became the CFO of the Energy business in 2016 and became the CFO of Bechtel Group in 2018.

Before joining Bechtel, Catherine worked at the World Bank’s Infrastructure Economics and Finance unit with a focus on contract design and economic regulation for private investment in power and water utilities.

Catherine earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Stanford University, and a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard Kennedy School. She is on the board of the Bechtel Group as well as educational institutions including the Stanford Construction Institute and Beauvoir School.

Xinmei Cai

Engineering Director, Google Maps/ Local, Google Japan

Xinmei Cai is an engineering leader with over 20 years of experience at tech companies like Microsoft, Silicon Valley startups, and Google. She co-founded the “Mind the Gap” program in Japan, which successfully encourages thousands of young girls to pursue tech careers.

As a dedicated mentor, she emphasizes the importance of speaking up and building support networks to foster female role models in engineering. In recent years, she has become an avid investor, supporting female founders in the APAC region through Epic Angels network.

Sandra Helayel

Director, International Government Affairs and Sustainability, GE Vernova

Sandra Helayel is the Director of International Government Engagement and Sustainability for GE Vernova. She leads outreach and drives partnership opportunities with government stakeholders around the world. Her role also includes providing advice on the development and delivery of policy and regulatory frameworks.

In addition, Sandra is a member of GE Vernova’s global sustainability organization and leads various sustainability initiatives. These initiatives include navigating GE Vernova’s engagement at global climate events, such as the UNFCCC’s annual Conference of the Parties (COP), leading discussions and partnerships with international organizations, launching a global corporate coalition focused on technology and innovation, and supporting the GE Vernova businesses in their sustainability operations.

She holds a master’s degree in Public Policy and Public Administration and a bachelor’s degree with a double major in Economics and Political Science from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada.

Gwenyth Wang-Reeves

Engagement Director, GE Vernova

As the Engagement Director for GE Taiwan, Gwenyth is responsible for establishing, and driving GE’s advocacy initiatives in Taiwan, engaging with local and central governments and other stakeholders on important public policy challenges, as well as advising the GE businesses on a broad range of regulatory issues.

Gwenyth is a skilled communicator and negotiator, with nearly two decades of experience in government relations, digital diplomacy, and political communication under her belt.

1. 活動前若台灣發生大型嚴重新冠肺炎群聚感染,或政府公告規範管制,主辦單位 (CAREhER) 將取消相關活動,敬請見諒。
2. 活動相關異動訊息公布或票務相關事宜,可隨時於 CAREhER Instagram 獲得第一手資訊,恕不另行通知。
3. 活動前如遇不可抗力之天災,主辦單位以民眾安全為考量,活動將延期或取消,參加民眾不得異議。
4. 報名活動時,也代表你同意主辦單位可以使用於活動拍攝之影音,於 CAREhER 及宣傳夥伴之展覽、宣傳、相關印刷品製作、數位化方式重製、及相關網站使用。

臨時不能參加活動⋯我該怎麼辦?

活動付款成功後,如果因為個人因素無法參與,可以向 CAREhER 申請退票。

Refund : Please send a private message to the CAREhER fan page at least 7 days before the event date (for example: for the event on 3/8, please send a private message to the fan page to inform the fan page no later than 2 /25 23:59.) There will be a handling fee (2.5% + 10 yuan), deducted from the ticket fee.

*Relevant ticket refund and exchange rules will be announced depending on the situation due to event postponement and other factors.
